That being said, see this archived discussion in a different forum where I also "hang out" for a few related suggestions on getting rid of "unneeded updates" Keep in mind that available memory is not necessarily related to the amount of available disk space.
When I try to update to SP3, My computer prepares for download, starts verifying download, then goes back to preparing for download.
