It involves practice and experience through time. This book may help in a way but still it's up to the speaker to learn how to stand up straight, face the audience and connect.

It helped to give me ways of thinking about preparing a speech and understanding how to do it effectively. All of this will come with practice, which we get a little bit out of out of the class. Even without a class, I think there'd be benefit in reading it.
